I thought the video was just real low quality, and didn't question it. Thinking back I found the vid through some myspace group or something and in the body of the thread they mentioned a sick double meteor or double snake poi in each hand vid so I assumed it was meteor from the look of it. If you read the comments under the video the guy says: "oh!!, hahaha!, I made them with towel and they are four and I don't know the name, I just made them." See he says there are four and since his English is not the greatest I figured he didn't know he was spinning double meteor and just made up the props himself. So is he saying that there is actually 2 poi in each hand? he does mention that there's four of them. I don't know what do you think? Even if the video is a fake it's still inspired me to practice my double meteoring more. Some of the stuff he was doing is exactly what I've been working on and it's kick ass to see what it will look like on fire. No other FX are being used in those frames, but its not high def enough to say anything for sure. I also believe there is a handle being used given wrist and hand movements, which would be the case if it were indeed a double image of poi. Almost a meteor, but not quite because I /believe/ there's a handle or a fingergrip in the middle of each "meteor." Definitely not a doubled image, though some of the footage is a bit diddled with: editiing fades and slides into spliced images, and maybe an occasional touch of solorised or slomo or whatever goodies came in that software package. But just a touch.
