I am always looking for new and interesting ways to explain my meteors, or to "borrow" tricks from items like rope dart or bolas.

Gogo spins a Comet, which is a real king-hell variant of the rope dart. It's got a big ball at one end with a disc around the ball inline with the chain, so in addition to piercing movements (that the rope dart excells at), it can also be used for slashing motions. I think it is currently used in northern styles of kung fu.
the chain however is compleatly hollywood and not necessary.
